Thousands crowded near the only way out of Afghanistan ahead of U.S. August 31 deadline

It has been reported that at least two explosions and gunfire occurred just outside Kabul airport. The blast happened around one of the entry gates of the Hamid Karzai International Airport on Thursday August 26, 2021.

Based on an AMN report and Pentagon statements, the blast may have been the result of a suicide attack. There have been casualties and injuries, including U.S. service members among Afghan citizens, however no additional details have been confirmed.

This is an emerging, breaking story and various outlets, including Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and others have reported multiple, sometimes conflicting totals regarding the dead and wounded.

Fox News reported 10 Marines were killed, up from four, according to U.S. officials

“We can confirm that the explosion at the Abbey Gate was the result of a complex attack that resulted in a number of US & civilian casualties. We can also confirm at least one other explosion at or near the Baron Hotel, a short distance from Abbey Gate. We will continue to update,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby tweeted.

The following bullet points were published in the Fox News article cited above:

  • A suicide bombing outside the Abbey Gate at Kabul’s airport in Afghanistan Thursday has killed at least 10 U.S. Marines and soldiers, U.S. officials tell Fox News.
  • A U.S. official indicated that the attack set off a firefight at Abbey Gate, where last night, there were 5,000 Afghans and potentially some Americans seeking access to the airport.
  • A second explosion happened outside the Baron Hotel, sources say.

Nashville RV Explosion Surveillance Video and Possible Motives being Investigated

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1342513638201028609/pu/vid/320x240/r4E1XEAPO4kZMLGA.mp4?tag=10
Surveillance footage of the RV with Warning and the Explosion

At 6:30.02 am precisely on December 25th 2020 an explosion occurred, caused by an RV, rigged to explode, parked next to the  AT&T transmission building at 166 2nd Avenue North in downtown Nashville. 15 minutes prior to the explosion a loud audio recording of a woman’s voice blasted from the recreational vehicle, warning to evacuate. The voice indicated that there was a bomb that was going to go off in 15 minutes.

The massive explosion that followed shattered windows and damaged several buildings near the AT&T building. Initially there were reports of shots fired and police responded. Reports of gunfire being heard by witnesses in the area were countered, seemingly, by the authorities indicating that no evidence has yet surfaced of any gunfighting.

However, the RV was recognized as suspicious and, after hearing the warning recording begin and the voice saying that an explosion was coming in 15 minutes (in a count down format), the officers, risking their own lives, evacuated as many local residents as possible before the explosion.

According to local officials, 41 buildings were damaged and one partially collapsed. The area is cordoned off and no one will be allowed in until at least Sunday afternoon.

Based on surveillance cameras in the area the RV arrived at 1:22 am. No footage has surfaced of anyone in the RV or leaving the scene. Although there are reports of human remains it is not yet determined if this is related to the alleged perpetrators or even if the remains are related to the bombing.

“Intentional Bombing” has been the most definitive headline so far attempting to ascribe any motive or meaning to the event.

On Twitter, naturally, the speculation has begun, and in this case it bears consideration. The fact that various communication capabilities were put out of commission as a result of the blast has led to questions as to the intention of whomever set off the bomb.It has been speculated that it could be a “test” of some sort, since various groups have threatened to disrupt communications recently.

Another obvious possible explanation is suicide, although it has been pointed out that this was a highly sophisticated and elaborate way to achieve that relatively simple objective, if that were the case. As to AT&T being the target there is no doubt that theory is currently under investigation.

On the further fringe of speculation is the supposed connection between the voting machines and the company that makes them, Dominion, and Trump’s lawsuits and claims of voter fraud. This series of tweets, without specifically putting forth any unsubstantiated theories, brings up a series of interesting observations pointing toward the high significance of finding out much more detail on the motives and perpetrators behind the blast:

And then there was this (!) The mayor laughing repeatedly about what he seems to feel is a funny explosion. No idea what to make of this, perhaps overwhelmed guy nervously chuckling but it does not instill confidence in an emergency to have the cities mayor joking about a tragic explosion that may have been an act of terrorism…

Blast at a firework depot rocks Lebanese residents from miles away

A huge explosion has rocked Beirut, the capital of Lebanon on Tuesday, August 4, 2020,  causing many injuries, overturned cars, blown out windows and damaged buildings all across the city.  This is a breaking and developing story so there will be additional details to follow. According to the most current information, sources on location are stating this blast was likely an accident caused by a fire from within a warehouse that holds highly explosive materials (i.e. fireworks) near the port in Beirut.

The captured video leading up to the explosion shows a large mushroom-shaped plume of billowing smoke, above a fire with crackling lights that appear to be fireworks. Seconds later, a fiery red cloud immediately follows a huge blast, sending massive amounts of smoke barreling towards the city. You can hear bystanders scream, undoubtedly trying to get to safety. The smoke and shockwave of the blast has destroyed buildings miles away from the port with final reports of the damage expected to be even worse.

Residential properties as far away as 10 kilometers ( 6 miles) also experienced damage from the blow. Witnesses reported seeing the fire initially without realizing that an explosion would soon follow. Due to this confusion, the blast appears to have caused many that were in close proximity to experience temporary deafening effects. The explosion was so strong that the sound of the blast could be heard as far away as Nicosia on the Eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus which is 240 kilometers (150 miles) away.

This developing story likely to have dire updates To come

Hamad Hasan, Lebanon’s health minister has stated that many have been injured and hospitals are anticipated to be overwhelmed by casualties of the blast. Hasan later remarked to the news that more than 50 people have been killed and more than 3,000 injured. A Lebanese Red Cross official, George Kettaneh said there were hundred of casualties – both dead and wounded but was unable to give an exact number. Marwan Abboud, the governor of Beirut spoke on its local television network explaining they did not know exactly what caused the explosion and called the event a national catastrophe.

The Prime Minister of Lebanon, Hassan Diab stated in a televised speech that those responsible for the explosion would be held accountable for its devastating results.

“I promise you that this catastrophe will not pass without accountability… Those responsible will pay the price.”

Hassan Diab / lebanon’s prime minister

It has been a truly horrible time in history for Lebanon, the explosion just making matters even worse. The country is already suffering an extreme economic crisis that has left many of its population suffering from poverty. In addition the country has been in a civil war for nearly 25 years, as well as suffering due to the repeated conflicts with Israel and Hezbollah, a militant group, near Lebanon’s southern border.
