Lisa Marie Presley Dies at 54 in LA Hospital

Us Weekly previously confirmed that Lisa Marie, 54, was taken to a local Los Angeles hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest in her home.

Lisa Marie was given CPR by paramedics on the scene, according to TMZ, the outlet first to report the news.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department then confirmed that officers arrived at Lisa Marie’s Calabasas, California, home at 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, and that she regained a pulse before she was transferred to a nearby hospital.

Lisa Marie’s death came two days after she had attended the 2023 Golden Globes with her mother in celebration of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic’s three nominations.

Lisa Marie Presley is the only child of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley. She was born on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Growing up, she was raised primarily by her mother and grandparents, as her father was often on tour. Despite this, she was very close with her father and often accompanied him on tour.

Lisa Marie began her music career in the early 1990s, releasing her debut album, “To Whom It May Concern,” in 2003. The album was a commercial success, reaching number five on the Billboard 200 chart and being certified gold by the RIAA.

She followed this up with the release of her second album, “Now What,” in 2005. The album was not as successful as her debut, but still received positive reviews from critics.

In addition to her music career, Lisa Marie has also dabbled in acting. She made her acting debut in the 1995 film “The Boy in the Box” and has also appeared in the films “Black and White” and “The Whole Ten Yards.”

In addition to her music and acting career, Lisa Marie has also been involved in various business ventures. She is the owner of Presley Motors, a classic car dealership, and Presley Properties, a real estate company.

In her personal life, Lisa Marie has been married four times. Her first marriage was to musician Danny Keough in 1988, with whom she has two children, Riley and Benjamin. The couple divorced in 1994.

In 1994, Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson, in a highly publicized ceremony. However, the marriage lasted only 20 months and they divorced in 1996.

Her third marriage was to actor Nicholas Cage, the couple married in 2002, but the marriage lasted only 3 years and they divorced in 2004.

Her fourth and current marriage is to musician Michael Lockwood, whom she married in 2006, they have twin daughters, Harper and Finley.

Lisa Marie has also been open about her struggles with addiction and mental health. In 2007, she entered rehab for addiction to prescription drugs, and in 2016, she spoke publicly about her diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Despite facing personal struggles, Lisa Marie continued to be active in both her music and business career. She was also been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and was dedicated to helping others who are struggling with addiction.
