Diego Maradona, Argentine Soccer G.O.A.T. and World Cup Winner, Dead at 60

Confirmed to Reuters, by his attorney, Diego Maradona, one of, if not the, greatest soccer player of all time has died at 60. Various outlets in Latin America have reported that the cause of death was a heart attack and that he died  in his home, after, two weeks prior he had undergone urgent surgery to repair a brain bleed.

Prime video documentary series chronicled his life and career

Currently in the works at Amazon Prime Video is a scripted bio-series based on his life, “Maradona: Sueño Bendito,” which is being produced by BTF Media and is directed by Alejandro Aimetta. Three actors will play Maradona in the series: Juan Palomino (adult), Nazareno Casero (adolescent) and Nicolás Goldschmidt (child). The series will cover events over the span of his entire life.

Also from Amazon Prime Video is a documentary “Diego Maradona,” which was directed by Filmmaker Asif Kapadia and released in 2019, tweeted his disbelief that the larger-than-life figure had passed away.
