Mr. Trump, you can cry and whine all you want. You can refuse to “accept” that the ballots, once counted, hand you defeat. But your refusal will fall on deaf ears. And the “Proud Boys” can’t save you. And you know it.
At the first (and possibly last) presidential debate 2020 Trump scowled, ranted and raved about various untruths he felt were “unfair” to him (surprise). And at the end of the debate was asked if he would accept the certified election results, once all the votes are counted. He refused to do so. He went on a nonsensical tirade (his umpteenth of the night) about “ballots in creeks” and “unsolicited” ballots, mentioned the words “rigged” and “fraud” and fraudulent ( no, not in connection with his tax returns, that would be honesty).
Does it even need to be said that all the huffing and puffing about ballots and fraud was itself a fraud?
Isn’t it obvious that when a constant liar repeats the same nonsense figures and examples over and over that it’s just another gambit? The river where all the ballots were supposedly tossed?
There is no river and no ballots that “just happened to be marked Trump” were ever thrown into one. There are trash cans in the world, but no one has been able to corroborate any specific trash can with any Trump ballots ( or Biden ballots either).
It was embarrassing enough when the president’s chief spokesperson effectively and grudgingly conceded that Trump’s “river” references weren’t accurate. It’s quite a bit worse now that the underlying claim about ballots appears to be wrong, too. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported late yesterday:
No Wisconsin absentee ballots were found in mail discovered in a ditch in the Fox Valley last week, the state’s top election official said Thursday.
“There was mail found outside of Appleton and that mail did not include any Wisconsin ballots.”

The truth in all of this and the “message” is that Trump has already conceded the election and is proceeding with the plan of contesting the outcome. 32 days before election day.
In the end all his bloviation amounts to less than the stale windbag-fumes that will leak from the fat-baby-trump blimps that are going to be retired in a few months. And the “Proud Boys”? They’ll all be in jail if they so much as lift a weak imbecilic hand in his defense. What do you think?
The first 2020 presidential debate was, according to many pundits, a sh*t show, and that’s no lie. But just how bad it was, clearly caused by one participant in particular, can only be seen when you do not have to sit through the entire 90 minutes of pain.
In this clip, the first in our “Trump’s True Colors” series, we highlight his rabid-dog-like attack on Joe Biden’s only living son, Hunter. Joe handles the onslaught like the strong survivor that he is. His patience is truly astounding. Anyone else would be driven to distraction and ultimately get dragged down into the disgusting mud that Trump loves to wallow in. Not Joe. He does get the last word, however.
More desperate than ever, as the clock goes tick, tock, tick, tock…
While the entire debate was bereft of any unexpected revelations, the sheer quantity of petulantce, lies and ad hominem attacks was amazing, even for the mud-slinger from Queens. Right wing pundits tried to put a positive spin on it, comparing Trump to a “bucking bronco”, but the way he interrupted with contestant lies and attacked the moderator, barely recognizing who he was attacking, it’s clear we are looking at a truly desperate man.
The Trump propaganda machine has already declared his performance “The Greatest Debate Win in U.S. History”, a psychotic fantasy so absurd that only the sociopath-in-chief could have come up with it. Unfortunately, for Trump, the schtick is getting old, very old. This is not the first time the circus came to town, and all the pratfalls and pantomime this clown can muster will not help him to win back his audience. Or? Check out the clip and see for yourself.
A “typical” American family trying to deal with pandemic isolation, safety and all with “advice” from a president who is a proven liar and a sociopathic narcissist, if not an outright psychopath.
The family, represented by these cute dolls (except for the bleach drinking Grampa, for some reason) each have a way to try and cope, not only with the pandemic and associated (looming) economic depression but with the sh^$tstorm of lies they are surrounded with daily on how they should behave and survive.
This Ad, created by the Meidas Touch, has a “softer” tone and addresses the likely perspective of a large number of people in this country who are, more or less, apolitical, and just want to live and try to have their lives and freedoms intact, without endangering themselves or others.
In the end, the women of the house, who have the best sense, a realistic projection indeed, come to the conclusion that, a change, particularly one that involves getting rid of Trump and his stooges, is needed, and pronto!
It should be pretty standard that the American people would be able to reliably expect the loser of the presidential election to accept their defeat. However, if this loser, happens to be the incumbent candidate, this assumption is actually being played out in real time.
When asked by reporter Brian Karem, “Win, lose, or draw in this election, will you commit here today for a peaceful transferal of power after the election?”
Trump made no attempt to show that he cares about democracy, Trump instead responded, “Get rid of the ballots and…we’ll have a very peaceful—there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There will be a continuation. The ballots are out of control. You know it. You know who knows it better than anybody else? The Democrats know better than anybody else.”
Trump has been on a tirade on mail-in-ballots, yet this is the first time he has said aloud and unequivocally, that chances are, he won’t accept the out come of the election unless the outcome is: he wins.
In the latest Lincoln Project ad, the Anti-Trump group comments that Trump’s inability to concede in the event that he loses, “are statements of weakness” and when he dose lose he will have to go. Since this is America after all.
Trump leaning more towards dictatorship than democracy
On Thursday, September 24, 2020 , the Senate passed a resolution to reaffirm its support for a peaceful transition of power. This comes in the wake of Trump refusing to commit to any kind of transition ( only a continuation) if he losses in the November election to Joe Biden.
The resolution was offered by Joe Manchin, who said this on the matter: “We’re in the most difficult times right now, and for the president to even address — to even address the subject of maybe not knowing if he would accept or not is beyond all our checks that that would ever happen in America.”
Trump sparked a major bipartisan backlash after he told a reporter he would have to “see what happens” and repeatedly declined to commit to accepting the results of election, of course, only accepting in the event of his victory.
With the election now under 40 days away, many in the Republican party spoke up against Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power. At once, appearing to intend to clarify that there definitely would be a transfer of power, presumably in the event of a definitive Biden win, yet with most statements also dismissing the president’s comment as a hypothetical situation.
Although this resolution asserts the intent to remain “peaceful” during the transition it does nothing to address the obvious plan, already in place, for Trump and his administration to contest the election and the vote count.
His assertions of “voter fraud”, never proven or substantiated in any way, dating all the way back to the 2016 election (where he won the electoral college count but still disputed the popular vote totals that did not favor him) continue hourly via tweets and at his campaign rallies.
Clearly, unless there is an obvious landslide for Biden, and Trump encounters massive opposition from his own party against any kind of challenge of the vote totals, there is still a high probability of a disputed outcome, “peaceful” or otherwise.
The Lincoln project has a prolific output of fantastic ads focusing on election issues and events from a “liberal” perspective, despite it being an organization founded by conservative Republicans who happen to be “Never-Trumpers”.
For the record, the following GOP insiders, proven hypocrites all, have put, on the record, statements supporting a “peaceful” transition. If they deviate from these views in anyway they should be held accountable :
“The peaceful transfer of power is a fundamental tenet of our democracy. And I am confident that we will see it occur once again,” Collins said Thursday. “I don’t know what his thinking was, but we have always had a peaceful transition between administrations.”

“People wonder about the peaceful transfer of power. I can assure you it will be peaceful. Now, we may have litigation about who won the election … and if Republicans lose we’ll accept the result.”

During a White House news briefing when asked the question if he loses this year’s election would he commit to a peaceful transfer of power, Trump was quick to reply with a vague non-answer, “We’re going to have to see what happens. You know that,” he said. He then took the opportunity, instead, and, quite predictably, make continued unsubstantiated claims about the reliability of the vote-by-mail ballots.
He later commented “Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very peaceful -There won’t be a transfer, frankly, there will be a continuation.” The reporter, Brian Karem who questioned Trump on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 took to his social media and commented: “This is the most frightening answer I have ever received to any question I have ever asked.

It is beyond unusual that a sitting president would have the audacity to publicly express anything other than confidence in how the electoral process will be handled. Yet it isn’t surprising, given Trump’s track record.
Four years ago he also declined to honor the election result if Hillary Clinton won. After the 2016 election he also made unsubstantiated claims that ?millions” of illegal votes were cast for Hillary. Not a single one of those he spoke of has been proven to be illegal.
Less than 40 days and Trump can test his plan

Just a day after Trump declared that he was planning a coup d’etat unless he wins the election on November 3rd, 2020, he arrives at the Supreme Court where Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg lies in repose.
He has also announced his intention to ignore her dying wish that she not be replaced until after the inauguration in January 2021 and will attempt to force his chosen replacement before the election.
He has declared that he needs a court majority favoring him so that he can use the court to overturn election results which he has already declared to be “rigged“.
“I think this [the election] will end up in the Supreme Court, and I think it’s very important that we have nine justices,” Trump said, defending his decision to seek the appointment of a new Supreme Court justice in the short time before the Nov. 3 election.

Clearly he assumes that he will lose and has a plan in place to first declare the election a “scam” (since it must be a scam if he loses) and to try to interfere in every way possible, then contest the results and try and use a “packed” court to force him into the office against the will of the people.
Among all Trump’s lackeys and sycophants, one stands out as the biggest loser of them all. A former attacker of the orange menace, his hypocrisy is seemingly limitless and shocking even among the nasty crowd his rums with; Moscow Mitch, Pompeo, Perry, Don Jr.
A person with such and obvious and total lack of honor or integrity must be remove from the senate post haste. And that means November 3rd’s election. Like his perverted uncle Moscow Mitch he has been milking the system for nefarious ends far too long. Flapping in the wind and flipping sides regardless of any ethics or meaning, that’s where he should (and will , with your help) find himself on November 4th: Out-to-dry, out-to-pasture and flapping in the wind.
Trump was heard saying to his supporters at a campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina that he will never speak to them again if he loses to Biden. Trump tends to have an odd habit of saying things very much aloud that make it incredibly easy to create Anti-Trump ads using his sound-bites against him. And very entertaining, indeed, the ads typically are.
Often and repeatedly he will jump on Twitter to criticize any and all of his many adversaries. It is refreshing and welcome that Joe Biden can use Trump’s exact words to his benefit this time around. On Saturday, September 19, 2020, Biden took to social media to release and officially “approve” of Trump’s message. The mere 10 second ad of the president’s remarks immediately went viral with now more than 15 million views on the Twitter and Instagram platform .
The video was commented on by the popular anti-Trump group The Lincoln Project with the words “oh hell yea.” The Lincoln Project, so named since they are comprised of Republicans that are opposed to Trump and the way he has destroyed the GOP, has been prolific in creating a constant barrage of ads, many of which we have featured and reviewed.
In the very short video clip, Trump appears to playfully talk about the possibility of losing to Biden (in the mind of a narcissist, the thought of losing would never even be considered). Yet if taken literally, many would relish not ever having to publicly hear or see Donald Trump again…..
“If I lose to him,” he declares, “I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I will never speak to you again. You’ll never see me again.”

While he will be happy to blame his failure on the “Chinese Virus” and jawbone the stock market on any bounce upward, past Presidents were never measured by “what ifs” and excuses. They were judged on the actual performance of the economy and, most importantly, employment statistics and jobs.
On that score, Trump is far and away the worst president since, maybe, Herbert Hoover. And, when his record of supporting white supremacists and abysmal handling of the coronavirus pandemic is factored in, it is clear that he will go down in history as the most incompetent and destructive person to ever hold the office.

The upbeat music is disconcerting and almost out of place – a satirical comment on the misguided hopes of the voters that were duped into believing his lies and claims of “so much winning you’ll be tired of it” and how only he can “fix it”.
Disturbing images, now all too familiar, of white supremacists and right-wing pro-fascists beating un armed BLM protestors in Portland and murderous racists driving into pedestrians and killing, all of these paint the real picture of “Trump’s America.”
An amazing collection of “Karens” and wacko suicidal “Anti-maskers” along with violent armed pick-up-truck-waves of belligerent maniacs looking for trouble and peaceful protestors to attack on behalf of Trump make this a comprehensive catalog of the insanity the orange wannabe dictator has unleashed.
The music is the sole matching element that echos the original title: “Bring Back Hope”, or perhaps that is also ironic as it conjures up a red hat and a tired slogan cribbed from Reagan: MAGA. The hope spoken of is the hope that Trump will be gone and Biden will allow us all to have some hope again. This is, clearly the only way forward.
That as it may be, this ad shows with stunning clarity the chaos and destruction already brought about with a maniac in the White House – and adds to the Mount Everest of evidence calling on us all the say “enough” and vote the madman out of office.
Trump’s lies are legion. By one count he has lied 273,693,849 times since 2016. This is well known. The anti-Trump group of brothers known as The MeidasTouch (who are similar to The Lincoln Project but not Republican) has uncovered a rarity: Trump actually telling the truth.
In a world where millions suddenly find themselves unemployed, desperate, even searching for ways to make ends meet – it would be nice to get some help from the Federal Government. Fix the problems so people can fend for themselves again. Unfortunately it will require a new administration for that to happen.
When basic human needs are not being met, as the video implies, its time for a Democrat to take control. Therefore: Vote Biden-Harris is the true message from Trump. When he tells the truth that is.
Has Trump learned anything? Or was it all Intentional.
Sara Gideon, the Maine House speaker is taking a jab at both Donald Trump and Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins. In a video put out by her campaign akin to that of the Lincoln Project, who retweeted this video, the video clip shows how Trump admitted he knew the severity of the pandemic and intentionally misled and downplayed the American public.
Unfortunately, she never stood up or even wavered from her blind loyalty. Her anti-impeachment rubber-stamp was historically myopic and she is now a prime target for removal on November 3rd. She is, make no mistake, a Trump follower and in no-way a lone voice of dissent within her party.
Trump lies do matter, as hundreds of thousands of people have already lost their lives to the pandemic, and many of those deaths could have been prevented.

The President attacks widow of tech icon Steve Jobs
On Sunday morning, September 6, 2020, Donald Trump went to his Twitter to call out Apple co-founder Steve Job’s widow, Laurene Powell Jobs who has financial backing to the Atlantic magazine. On Thursday, The Atlantic published a story that reported Trump called American who had died in war both “losers” and “suckers”.

The Lincoln Project consists of anti-Trump republicans, led by George Conway, husband of Kellyanne, and their disgust with the current occupant of the White House seems to grow daily.
The Lincoln Project has been very active in opposing Trump, bringing a no-holds-barred and yet dignified approach to the resistance from a conservative perspective. With high-profile names such as George Conway, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, Jennifer Horn and others, listed as advisors. The group is carving out a solid mind-share through the almost-constant release of ads on social media and with paid ads on various broadcast outlets
Prolific authors and producers out to rescue us from the orange menace
Lincoln Project, along with RVAT (Republican Voters Against Trump), Really American PAC and The Meidas Touch have been firing on all cylinders lately pumping out some incredible anti-trump ads and content. The fact that both Lincoln Project and RVAT are founded by Republicans (sometimes referred to as Never-Trumpers) makes for interesting perspectives.
While the spots are often entertaining they also engage and inform with a clear goal – to elect Joe Biden and remove Trump from office on November 3rd, along with as many of his enablers in the Senate and House as possible.

Just as the Lincoln Project has been skewering Trump with ads exposing his weakness and corruption, and going viral while doing it, ReallyAmerican PAC is joining the fray with some pretty viral-worthy ads of their own.
Once the Republican National Convention (Also known as the Cocaine Convention) blasted into a zombie apocalypse styled attack on everything democratic (small and big D) and then proceeded to flame-out in the ratings, the general election shenanigans began at an October-plus level of furor.
And now, with Melania-Gate in full swing, it might seem like the whole suppress-the-vote-by-destroying-the-post-office thing is, well, old news. It’d be wrong to think that, however. Not only is this issue still front and center and an ongoing travesty, but new revelations continue to explode on to the scene and demand, and are worthy, of further scrutiny and attention.
This clip has a few morsels of incredible ugliness, like the fact that Dejoy is literally and financially conflicted in his position as Postmaster General, and stands to benefit from the crippling of the Post Office, directly, as explained in the ad.

Short but pointed speech gives the future political force a platform in the spotlight
In a ceremonial act, via pre-recorded video (above) U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez nominated Bernie Sanders during the virtual DNC 2020 night two. She lauded Sanders for organizing “a historic grassroots campaign to reclaim our democracy.”
Showing her solidarity and respect for his campaign goals, she seconded the nomination citing his efforts to build a “mass people’s movement working to establish 21st century social, economic and human rights, including guaranteed healthcare, higher education, living wages, and labor rights for all people in the United States.”
Next up will be the build toward the climax on Thursday…
Naturally the nomination is a formality only as he officially dropped out of the contest four months ago in April. Joe Biden already won the number of delegate needed in June, cementing his status as the presumptive nominee. Sanders was permitted to keep his delegates at the convention as a symbolic olive branch in the hopes of winning over the senator’s supporters.
Ocasio-Cortez, supports Biden as the presumptive nominee. She was key in the crafting of policy on the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Forces platform, which consisted of supporters from the Biden and Sanders campaigns.

New ad highlights the hypocrisy of the first family
Some of the many appalling and even disgusting facets of the Trump era are reflected in the primitive psychological tactics that emanate from any speech or off the cuff remark from the President. “Gaslighting“, “Whataboutism” and “I know you are but what am I” playground level taunts and name calling abound. And, above all, the tactic of projecting whatever you are accused of onto your enemies, no matter how ridiculous it appears. Like on July 4th when trump implied that Antifa was a “fascist” organization. How can a group with “anti” and Fascist” in the very name be accused of being the thing that they have clearly and overtly declared themselves to be against? Ask Trump.

And now, in an apple-falling-not-far-from-the-tree moment of imbecilic genetic transference, Don Jr. employs all of the above in a recent twisted tirade on Fox. Unfortunately for him, the folks that call themselves the “Meidas Touch” were able to illustrate just how ridiculous and revealing this web of insanity really is. Take a look:
On a their web site in text accompanying the clip they added:
“The Trump children, propped up in this regime by the bizarre and shameless nepotism seen in banana republic dictatorships, represents the blend of incompetence, entitlement and cringeworthy hypocrisy that has propelled America into disaster we are now in under Trump.”
Along with the great work from The Lincoln Project and RVAT (Republican Voters Against Trump) anti-Trump, pro-Biden ads have been coming out almost daily. All using Trump’s own words and actions to show his various lies, his hypocrisy and downright creepiness in sharp focus with a view to ousting him in November.

It’s astonishing how this old footage can make the Trump family look even worse and, yes, even more creepy, than the recent events touched on in the first video clip above. November 3rd can’t come soon enough, it would seem, for any of us who have witnessed these ads.
The Meidas Touch is not specifically a Conservative Republican organization, which the other two mentioned above are, but rather is headed by attorney Ben Meiselas, who has been involved in high profile cases involving civil rights and more, such as the lawsuit brought by Colin Kaepernick against the NFL.

U.S. Protests on the Rise since President Trump’s Controversial Election
Over the past few years, protest culture has been on the rise in the United States. Especially since the election of President Trump, unsatisfied and rebellious Americans have received lots of media attention for picketing events, blocking roadways, and putting on rallies to advocate for policies and movements they deem paramount.
Most of the time, these protests are done in the name of progress and productive change for society. Frustrated with inaction, contemporary American activists call out politicians and people in power to prioritize topics such as climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, pro-choice agendas, and positive race relations.
For every protestor though, there seems to be an anti-protestor with opposing beliefs, making the United States seem like a very contentious place. While this ultimate clause carries some truth, it fails to notice that political diversity and contentiousness is not unique to America in the modern age. While not every country has a Trump-like figure to personify its national discord, places all around the world are responding to the threat of tyranny with activism and protest—and in some places, the situations are far more severe than what goes on here in the States.
Paris “Yellow Vest” Protest is an Anniversary of Political Unrest amongst French Populace
Recently in Paris, France, the city had the anniversary of its “yellow vest” protests. The “yellow vest” protest (known as gilets jaunesin French) first took place in November 2018. When an army of Francophones uniformly dressed in yellow vests took to the streets of Paris, the protest was the French people’s way of showing anti-government sentiments and a desire for political change in accordance with the populace’s desires.
Since the initial protest last year, the yellow vesters have been active with smaller protests around the nation, but they reunited in Paris for the one-year reunion with massive numbers. When the movement tried to occupy the city’s roads though, the police fought back using tear gas and water cannons. It was overall a chaotic and brutal image of conflict that speaks volumes to France’s current state.
Latinx Countries in Europe and South America have a Swelling Tide of National Revolts
Protest-related conflict also went down in France’s neighboring Spain this week. Spain’s Catalan region in the northeast corner of the country has desired independence for a long time now. With unique customs and dialect, Catalan is culturally different from the rest of Spain, and its people relish in its separatism.
Spain, however, has been dismissive to the region’s pleas for autonomy. Recently, the federal government even imprisoned nine separatist leaders from Catalan. Moreover, the region’s president Quim Torra is currently on trial for disobedience after he refused to take separatist symbols down from public buildings. In response, many Catalan protestors took to Barcelona’s main train station last Saturday, crowding the busy junction wielding regional symbols and refusing to leave. The situation is likely to only get hotter as Torra’s trial continues.
In the western hemisphere, South America has no shortage of national rebellions. Bolivia has seen a slew of intense protests both leading up to and following President Evo Morales’ resignation from office. Similarly, the Venezuelan people continue to rebel against President Nicolas Maduro, taking to the streets to try and oust the leader from office and avoid dictatorship in troubling times.
Hong Kong Protests Continue as they Fight for Independence from China
And then, of course, there is Hong Kong—the center stage of national protests that has probably received the most media coverage over the past month. Upset with the Chinese government’s attempts and perceived threats to roll back the “One Country, Two Systems” principle, Hong Kong has been striving for independence for decades now. Currently, they are at what seems to be a tipping point. However, their activism has been met with opposition from the Beijing government, as well as the local officials and now the city has erupted in civil disobedience, combat, and violence. Before the recent wave of elections, where the pro-democracy candidates were almost universally victorious, at a protest near the city’s Polytechnic University, citizens set off petrol bombs and fired arrows into crowds as the police fought back with tear gas.
While the Present Looks Dark, the Future is Hopeful
This is the state of the world where we currently reside. There is even more unrest going on worldwide than that which we see within America’s borders. On a global scale, things are muddy, people are divided, and in many situations, conditions seem at times as if they are perpetually hopeless. Nevertheless, although times are dark right now, people are innovative and actively striving towards a new light, one that could, hopefully, shine brightly towards the future. These worldwide protests may come off as incoherent conflicts at the moment, but purpose lies behind every movement, and there are no limits to what can be accomplished when people come together with good intentions and an undying spirit.
Ask anyone who took American history in high school if they have ever heard of Roy Cohn, and you may get blank stares. Of course, those who lived in the United States during the sensational attorney’s controversial career should recall the name, but otherwise, this immensely powerful, remarkably influential, and at times, terribly harmful figure in American politics has mostly been kept in the dark, hidden away in a backlog of national figures despite the tremendous effects he’s had on the country.
The son of a New York City judge, Roy Cohn was born in the year 1927. After a Jewish upbringing in the Bronx, he received a BA and JD from Columbia University and made a name for himself as a prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice. He was particularly successful in locking up Communists and soon became a close member of Senator Joseph McCarthy’s counsel.
For the next few decades, he had vast, yet subtle influence over American politics, informally advising presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, and even representing a young Donald Trump in a business case. He stood as a pillar of xenophobia and homophobia, ingraining such values into our leaders, all in the interest of preserving a perverse image of the American way.
Indeed, Cohn is not the kind subject often discussed in a civics classroom. However, he is the perfect anti-hero for an enlightening and entertaining cinematic experience. With feature films like “Vice” focusing on Vice President Dick Cheney and docuseries like Netflix’s “The Family” about White House evangelist Douglas Coe, there is an obvious market for media that digs deep into the true stories of individuals manageing to garner and manipulate power without ever really entering the spotlight—individuals like Roy Cohn.
A Cinéma-Vérité view of Corruption as a Lifestyle
Sony Pictures Classics’ documentary “Where’s My Roy Cohn?” screened earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and it is getting a wider release at the end of the week. Behind the camera is journalist-turned-director Matt Tyrnauer, who has previously proved his affinity for creating historical bio-docs with 2008’s “Valentino: The Last Empire” and 2016’s “Citizen Jane: Battle for the City.”
“Where’s My Roy Cohn?” of course places the attorney’s controversial work with American politicians at the story’s core, unveiling in striking detail the level of silent sway he managed to attain over some of the nation’s most public leaders. However, Tyrnauer’s film does not end there. The documentary does a thorough investigation into Cohn as a human being, starting at his childhood to try and understand the origins of his narrow American vision and his insatiable drive for preserving it.
The doc will also look at Cohn’s personal complications as an adult. Although the lawyer worked with Senator McCarthy to rid the federal government of homosexuals during the 1950s Lavander Scare, Cohn himself was allegedly attracted to men. Whether as a latent power trip or a hidden secret, Cohn reportedly had sexual relations with many men throughout his life, and suspicions surrounding his sexual orientation continued and even intensified after he died of AIDS in 1986.

The documentary will also view his career as more than just the facts. Continuing with the intimate approach, the movie will look at the personal relations he held with Washington’s most powerful people. It will investigate what happened behind closed doors between him and sitting presidents, and it will look at the master-apprentice dynamic that he held with Trump during the 1970s.
Evidently, there is more to Cohn than just the egregious effects he had on policy and national morale. For everything he did on paper, Roy Cohn was a human, and the human soul is a convoluted thing. He is definitely not an American hero.
In fact, one could even call him a villain, but as Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, or Dick Cheney have proved before him, villains, especially ones that hold power in the palm of their hands, make for fascinating movie topics. And if “Where’s My Roy Cohn?” approaches the topic of Cohn well, maybe the audience will also be able to learn something about America along the way.
